This policy explains what information Study Discover collects, why, and what choices you have. In short: the tools run in your browser and we collect very little.
Information you type into the tools
Calculators, quizzes, the word counter, the citation generator and the other tools work entirely in your web browser. What you type is not sent to our servers.
A few tools save your work in your browser’s local storage so it is still there when you return: the study planner, exam countdown, flashcard maker, Pomodoro timer settings and the word counter draft. This data stays on your device. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
Information you choose to send us
- Newsletter: if you subscribe, we store your email address and the date you signed up. We use it only to send updates about new tools and articles. You can ask us to remove it at any time.
- Contact form: we receive your name, email address, topic and message by email and keep a copy in our website dashboard so we can reply.
- Comments: if comments are open and you leave one, WordPress stores your name, email, website (if given), comment text, IP address and browser details to help prevent spam.
Cookies
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. WordPress may set a cookie to remember your name and email if you choose to when commenting, and sets login cookies for site editors.
Third-party services
Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers and shares your IP address with Google when a page loads. Our web host also keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
We do not currently use analytics or advertising services. If that changes, we will update this page before it happens.
Children
The site is intended for students aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete any personal information we hold about you, such as a newsletter subscription or contact message. Depending on where you live, including California and the European Economic Area, you may have additional rights under local law. Email contact@studydiscover.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
